Bluffbot
From PokerAI
BluffBot is a Texas hold 'em pokerbot developed by Teppo Salonen. The first BluffBot version finished in second place in the first ever AAAI Computer Poker Competition, organized by the University of Alberta Computer Poker group in 2006. A year later the new BluffBot 2.0 was recognized as the best No-Limit hold 'em poker AI in the world after winning the 1st place in the no-limit series in the second AAAI Computer Poker Competition in 2007.
BluffBot's brain is a hand made approximation of game theoretic equilibrium strategy based on the domain expertise of its creator. Its system includes various plays from professional poker players combined with pseudo-optimal bluffing, bluff catching, and value betting strategies. Human testing was done to optimize these strategies even further.
