Casino End User License Agreement, or Terms of Service is what every player need to accept and comply with, in order to be able to use the service.

Apart from standard clauses (that relatives of casinos employees are not allowed to play, and so on), all casinos prohibit criminal fraudulent activities, (e.g. money laundry, identity theft, etc.) or activities that gives unfair advantage (e.g. playing with mutiple accounts at the same time, and multi-accounting in general). Beyond that varios casinos license agreements differ in the restrictions they put on a player. Most of the casinos are very extensive in their list of prohibiting activities, and they might prohibit:

  • proffesional play (hence only recreational players are allowed to play)
  • using abusive language in chat
  • multi-accounting
  • making negative comments about the casino in forums or media
  • using pokerbots

etc.

In case of violations of casinos EULA, the casino may close your account, and seize all of your money.

Some sites (e.g. PokerStars or PartyPoker) have even further descriptions of programs they allow and disallow to be used in conjuction with their client (as well as attempt to motivate why something is allowed or not allowed). This is given below.

Prohibited programs at PokerStars

How PokerStars makes a decision to prohibit a program?

  • Any program that shares hole card data with other players or programs is colluding, and is prohibited.
  • Any program that works off of a central database of player profiles is prohibited.
