Crazymike (aka mrGatorade on 2+2 forums) is the nickname of Michael Thorpe [1] [2] [3] known for being very vocal against pokerbots, claiming that pokerbotting is cheating and casinos should be proactive against bots. Several times he admited in forums that he hate bots, and he dedicated his homepage destroythebots.com to this cause. The reasons for why crazymike is so much concerned about bots are not fully clear. Often, he relates it to very negative long term impact of pokerbots, other times he simply states that he hates bots. On the other hand, he several time accused and reported actual human players as being bots, e.g. MicroBob (for the reasons of personal revenge), he also reported players being bots against the strong believe of the respective casinos that they aren't. Some people expressed the opinion that crazymike does this public anti-botting campaign in order to maintain public image and by this help himself to sell anti-botting services to the casinos. Others believe that Crazymike does this, because he is simply crazy [4]:


Last month in Vegas I played a 4 handed game 100/200 game with Dutch Boyd and CrazyMike (MrGatorade). Mike finally busted out after playing EVERY hand for 3 hours. Dutch and I got moved to the main full game upstairs shortly after. Once in the main game we chatted a little bit about a few things and the topic of CrazyMike came up. I asked Dutch what he thought of CrazyMike, and Dutch replied "That dude's fucking CRAZY." 


 Is that the same guy that has had legit players funds seized 
 by claiming they are a bot when he loses 100BBs to them HU?

I was one of the players on MrGatorade's original list. Fortunately my playing account is now reopened, since I was able to convince the site in question that I'm not in fact a bot.

Now I want revenge. It is well-known that MrGatorade - aka Michael Thorpe - is multi-accounting on UB. His second account is called Thorpie. I long ago pointed out this fact to UB but had no joy: they claimed they would take action but obviously didn't.

I don't know how Thorpe gets away with it - does he maybe have permission from UB to multi-account? Is he an insider there? Or do they just not give a damn? How can I get them to act to enforce their own rules?

I'm a long-time 2+2er but am posting this under a fresh name. I don't want to field more bot accusations from this player who so notoriously is constantly calling everybody else "unethical", at the same time he's pulling his own shameless stunts. I'm really sick of his toxic presence on all the sites I play, and want to do something about it now.

I coasted early and then busted this kid annoying ass kid "Crazy Mike" in a fun pot where I had KQhh against his Q8 on JT9x. If anyone has been around Bellagio the last few days they probably know who I'm talking about. The egotistical twenty-something never shuts the fuck up and has been walking around Bellagio for the last 48 hours trying to challenge people to play him in a LHE freezeout. I honestly have never been at a table where someone talked as much as this kid. The whole table thanked me upon sending him to the rail.
