Online Bot (short for online robot), or just bot, is a computer program which performs automated tasks in a way similar to how human would do them. In the context of online poker, "bot" is often used instead of pokerbot. Other popular casino bots are the Blackjack bots.
Online bots are also frequently used in the context of online games, stock markets, and other industries with online presence.
